THE SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS MAN

Dato Haji Abdullah Jaafar fetched me in his black Honda Accord JDL 222, after we (Fauziah and I) returned from buying popiya at the Xtra Hypermarket, circa 11.00 p.m.

Haji Ibrahim ushered us inside his recently opened La Rawa restaurant in Taman Rini, near Taman Tun Aminah, to a set of brand new wooden dining table. We preferred the smaller television to the 52" screen outside due to exposure in the cool, windless, and starry night, after a heavy rain, the flood of which washed a Singapore registered car into a monsoon drain (Sungai Kempas) in Jalan Tampoi, killing one of the two passengers, in the afternoon.

We were soon joined by a Hassan in white baju Melayu and black songkok, a district councilor of Majlis Daerah Johor Bahru Tengah, a committee member of UMNO Gelang Patah Division under the chairmanship of recently won representative of the same State Constituency of Gelang Patah, Haji Abdul Aziz Sufian, (brother of Othman Sufian, ADUN Kempas). He talked about his shaky position. His superior Haji Aziz, dominates the JBDT's administration to the point of wanting to remove him from his all current positions in the Majlis.

Hj. Ibrahim’s Profile
