The Aborted Excursion

I felt a bit bored this morning. I, therefore, discussed my spouses. We intended to go for an excursion.

We went to the open market at Johor Bahru Stadium. The morning of March 24, 2010, was fine.

Fauziah and I waited in the Kembara. I gave Noriah RM30.00 to buy anything she needed.

I called Abdul Latiff Ahmad. He is my younger brother. He is Penghulu Sungai Mati, Muar. I asked him book a two-storied shop house at end lot. The premises is meant for Dr Ghazali, my son. The housing project is undergoing earthwork. It has delayed 10 years. It is now delayed again due to Yaakob refusing to quit. He inherited the property from his deceased wife. The deceased is my younger sister. He refused to demolish his old house on the said land. The demolition cost of RM1,800.00 is disagreeable to him.

He, in fact, had received RM5,000.00 advance from the developer. Abd. Latiff also received RM5,000.00, Midah RM4,000.00 and I RM7,000.00. Melor, who gave the power of attorney to me, is not paid. I have to demand for it.

I feel a bit depressed this morning. So I planned to make a journey somewhere far away from Johor Bahru. Probably we would go to our oil palm plantation at Kahang, Kluang. Alternatively, we would go to Muar.

We, however, shopped at Kipmart Supermarket instead. I gave Fauziah RM50.00 to buy fresh fish, etc. I added another RM20.00 for the vegetables. On the way home we dropped at Eton's school canteen for chat. After the tea and noodles, we satisfactorily returned home. Therefore, the excitement of excursion away from Johor Bahru is at last aborted.

Memorable Trip to Hulu Selangor

Datuk Zaid Ibrahim from PKR, component of Pakatan Rakyat, is our idol. He was selected to represent the party's candidate in the Hulu Selangor by-election P. 94. The nomination day is Saturday April 17, 2010. Anwar Ibrahim had rightly chosen Datuk Zaid Ibrahim instead of Dr Halili, second in the shortlist, where in fact the latter defected to join UMNO on being not selected.

Our destination is Kampong Kiambangsari, a low cost housing project. We left Johor Bahru at about 10.00 p.m April 16, 2010. We stopped at R&R Seremban at about 1.00 a.m. April 17, 2010, where I met an old friend Hjh Hasnah Sheikh Ahmad there in a group of 6 also going to the same destination. They were from Seremban.

Hj. Abdullah Hassan drove in the night after filling petrol RM60.00 at Taman Dahlia Petronas Station. In my van Rusa JGS 283 were me, Najib, Ramli Awang, Wak Jamil and his second wife, Fatimah. Wak Jamil took over the wheel after filling RM60.00 at Petronas Seremban. Wak Jamil exited Batang Kali toll and after a few calls by Najib to his friend asking direction, we arrived destination at about 4.00 am. The house was packed with snoring persons. So I slept in the van, Fatimah in front seat and Ramli in the back seat. We solat subuh berjemaah at the nearby surau.

The constituency of Hulu Selangor fell vacant due to the death of its member of parliament Dr Zainal Ahmad.

On the way home I took over driving from Wak Jamil from Tanjong Malim. Then, Hj Abdullah drove from Seremban to Macap where I took over again arriving Johor Bahru at about 10 p.m.
